Description

The unique qualities of silk make it an ideal canvas for painting and collage.  Watercolor and acrylic painters will find silk paints are very similar to these media. Beginners will find it easy to create great effects working with silk and silk paints.

The workshop will begin with painting a silk scarf and pieces of silk to become familiar with silk and silk paints. Painted silk pieces will be incorporated with Gold fluid acrylic paints and Golden media to create a collage on canvas.

Students will complete a painted silk scarf, painted pieces of silk and a mixed media with silk collage on canvas.
